Jon Elworthy

I have always painted and drawn, from my early years growing up on Dartmoor, through my formal education, on to art and design colleges, and my career as an Interior Designer/Architect.

It was during the Covid lockdown that I decided the time was right to change direction and move away from my design career and onto being a full time artist. This decision was proved correct when I received many commissions via my website, and from my one man exhibition in Walton. I was also asked to become the Historical Illustrator for the new series of Time Team, which is being broadcast on YouTube, which I continue to do.

Most of my work is portrait commissions, both human and family pets, with most of my other time taken up producing works for future exhibitions or sales online. I like to work in various mediums: watercolour, pen and ink, pencil, but my favoured is oils.
