After a career in the knitwear industry I was well placed to take up painting when I retired as I had been using colour choices throughout my working life. I have been painting since 2013 and realise that the more you learn, the more there is to learn. My preferred medium is acrylic for its strong vibrant colours and ease of use, and occasionally pastels. Subject matter is whatever catches my eye but I tend to favour portraiture and landscapes.
