I was born and brought up in north London and I have been drawing and painting since early childhood. After a career in advertising and design I retired from full time work in 2012.
Although still working part time as a designer and art director, a large amount of my spare time is now spent painting; mainly in water colour. I sometimes paint on location but most of my work is done in the studio, using sketches and photographs.
I paint mostly in a representational style but do experiment with different techniques and styles as time and subject allows.
I am a huge admirer of, and inspired by, the work of Rowland Hilder, Edward Seago and Edward Wesson.
